Melissa Lambrecht, Owner/Trainer
Melissa has spent her life perfecting the craft of horsemanship. She began riding under her parents, Lance and Martha Wetmore, at an early age, and grew up training her own show horses. After handing in her amateur card in 1993, she spent the next 10 years as assistant trainer at her parents’ Bittersweet Farm before striking out on her own.
Wynter Thyme Manor opened its doors in 2003 with a small group of devoted clients, and brought home its first World Championship title just three years later. In the years since, such notable names as UVM Allegro, Attn Postmaster, Hylee’s The Devil IM, The Lion King, Under Fire, Minion Mardi Gras, Stonecroft Palladian, The Alchemist, and Banbury Hill Belletrist have passed through Melissa’s training program. Her students boast dozens of championship titles in Saddleseat, Hunt Seat on the Flat, and Western disciplines.
Melissa prides herself on building cohesive horse-and-rider teams from the ground up, and specializes in educating the young horse. No matter the end goal, Melissa’s training methods are designed to bring out the horse and rider’s natural talents through positive experiences.
